Improving Your Golf Game With the Garmin GolfLogix GPS

Posted in Communications by editor

Imagine having the tools at your fingertips to play the perfect round of golf! It sounds like every golf lovers dream, doesn’t it! Throughout the years, ever since Scottish shepherds started hitting rocks into rabbit holes back in the 12th century, everyone who plays the game has wanted an inside edge in order to shave strokes from their scores and impress others with their golf prowess. Since people no longer play with sticks and rocks, it’s obvious that golf has come a long way since its inception and gone through many changes.

The latest change has come about due to new golf technology, and if you want to take advantage of it, you’ll need a Garmin GolfLogix GPS to help you.

The GolfLogix GPS is a handheld unit that gives you superior accuracy over previous golfing models that were mounted on golf carts. With the GolfLogix, you can take the technology right to the ball to get the most accurate distance measurements from where it actually lies. In case it should happen to rain, there’s no worries. The unit is completely waterproof, and it’s also shockproof so that it won’t get broken if it’s dropped or from being carried around in your golf bag.

Garmin strives to give you everything you could want in a golf GPS system and has put years of research and improvements into the GolfLogix GPS.

When you first get your GolfLogix, you’ll be able to download one golf course map of your choice onto it. While you are doing your download from the Garmin website, you’ll be able to purchase an annual membership for $29.95 which will allow you to download an unlimited number of golf courses worldwide. For your membership fee you’ll also receive access to other improvements and upgrades in the GolfLogix GPS which you’ll receive for no additional charge.

You may be wondering exactly how many maps you’ll have access to with your membership, and the answer is 23,100. No matter which course you’re planning to play, you can have an inside edge by knowing the layout of the holes, the distances, and other statistics about the course prior to ever laying eyes on it. Of course, every golf course in the world isn’t in this map database, but Garmin has taken care of that possibility, too. If you should want a map to a golf course that isn’t listed, you can request a map.

Garmin guarantees that when you place a request you’ll have the map you need within two weeks, although the waiting time is usually only 3-5 days.

You’ll be glad to know that both the USGA and the R&A have ok-d satellite-based GPS distance measurement for use during competitions. Therefore you won’t have to worry about playing with non-regulation equipment. As mentioned earlier, golf has been changing and evolving for over 800 years, and modern golf is just following the trend. Even though you’ll be playing with more information than you’ve ever had before with your GolfLogix GPS, you’ll still be the one taking the shots and earning the score.

Keswick to Lake Windermere Drive
Widely regarded as one of the most scenic routes of them all in Britain, this 20 mile drive on the A591 will afford you some stunning views of rugged peaks, green and golden hills, pretty and charming villages, and fantastic views of the lakes that have inspired literary greats for generations. William Wordsworth, the famed poet, lived at Dove Cottage which overlooked the magnificent Grasmere Lake, which is on the main Ambleside to Keswick Road. John Ruskin and Beatrix Potter also lived in this area.

Why not stop off and take a relaxing lake cruise on one of the steam passernger boats on Lake Windermere, the longest lake in the England.

Yorkshire Dales Scenic Drive
The Dales have always been regarded as a spectacular and inspiring part of the UK. Writers such as James Herriot have in the past immortalised the area. If you start off from the Skipton area, which is surrounded by heather moors, take the B625 north towards the cobblestone village of Grassington, and prepare to be mesmerised by the fabulous views from Hebden and Bewerly Moor.

Cross the A1 and the Ure River and the Plain of York. Take the A59 into the walled Viking City of York. York has plenty to see and do, from the Roman Baths to the Viking Centre at Jervik. This driving tour takes around 53 miles. Find out more about the Yorkshire Dales.

Glasgow to Fort William Drive
The A82 route serves the West Highlands and Islands through remarkable scenery, National Parks and charming villages. If you choose to explore this route you will come across breathtaking mountain ranges and cascading waterfalls as you wind through the highlands and lowlands of the area.

Did you know that the Harry Potter Film “The Prisoner of Azkaban” was filmed in the Glencoe area in 2003?

Thames Valley Drive
For some marvellous scenery, at the heart of Roman Britain, take the 70 mile driving tour of the Thames Valley. Start off in Abingdon in Oxfordshire and pass through on the A415 to Clifton Hampden. As you wind through the Sinodun Hills area you will come across an Iron Age Fort, and the Iron Age Town of Dyke Hills.

Verging onto the A4130 , make your way to the town of Henley on Thames and stop off to savour views of the powerful river as it gushes through the town. Then take the A4155 to the Chilterns area. Do You Suffer From Adult Dyslexia?

Posted in Health & Fitness by editor

Finding Ways To Help You Through The Non-Dyslexic Environment And View The World With A Confident Approach.

I am hopeful you will discover my story to be beneficial for you. Once I got into high school math, I had hassle writing numbers in a format where I would remember which digit was in which line making it increasingly challenging for me to discover the correct answer to the conundrum. It affects the way we communicate with others, the way we look at questions, following orders and the way we think about things.

Instead, like so many school aged children suffering from dyslexia, I was pinpointed as a “trouble maker” despite the fact that I was never sent to the Principal’s office, or caused classroom disruptions. In fourth grade our teacher would record notes for us to copy from the board and I would enter them in my notebook completely incorrectly. I switched majors to a theme that permitted me to think in the way that I did. As though maturity is not challenging enough, dyslexia adds a dimension of complexity to the lives of folks who suffer with it.

Public Speaking

Let this be a lesson to you. Whilst you are speaking with another person, do you have a tendency to jumble pronouns after writing letters, papers, e-mails or when you’re speaking with someone? For example, instead of you saying, “Sam went to the shop to buy Sarah some milk,” you say, “Sarah went to the shop to buy Sam some milk. If you are just realizing this is a hindrance, there are a a small amount of Tips I can give you to help you combat this awkward matter.

Writing

If you discover that you have a tendency to verbally change verbs or pronouns, I propose putting everything in writing and asking for individuals to e-mail you instead.

I trust you will discover e-mail easier for you when communicating with others. This will help you communicate with the world immensely.

Verb Agreements

Whilst speaking with someone else, you ought to discover that slowing down while you talk and correcting what you say will help you form correct sentences. This can be quite awkward in front of an employer or someone you are trying to impress with your knowledge or exceptional vocabulary skills. While dyslexics can flip flop pronouns with no trouble, they also can have a tendency to use different verb tenses in a sentence.

Taking Standardized Tests

Standardized tests can be very challenging for dyslexics to take. Ask the instructor or writer of the exam what the correct answer is. The following will be an example of how to fix this. Standardized test exams can be not only challenging, but increasingly frustrating and testing. Look at each of the questions. As discussed previously, examine where you could go wrong in an exam. This is critical because you are identifying what is crucial in this question. This way, you will unearth any mistakes you have made at once, and will not cost you time while taking the exam.

If you can meet the instructor prior to taking the exam, (about a week before), ask to see a number of sample questions.

Instructions

Furthermore, looking at a chart before you venture out will also prove to be helpful and even more helpful is a GPS unit to read instructions to you while you drive. But it doesn’t have to be before you talk with someone, think about everything you are going to to say in your head, put everything in writing so you can double check it. I have dominated much of my problems with school, and my problems in the work place as I understood the dyslexic things I do and came up with ways to combat it.

Make sure you have a cloudless perception of where you are going before you venture out in your vehicle. The bottom line for combating dyslexia simply is getting into the hang of rereading, proofreading, double and triple checking everything you say or do. Come up with a game plan when dealing with standardized testing and continually reread the information so you know what is being asked for you. What I wasn’t realizing at the time was that I was jumbling the directions in my mind.

The blog is simple and user friendly, i would appreciate any comments which you have and also any tips that you have on dyslexia.

I truly hope that i have made some sort of difference to you and hope you take the steps needed to overcome your problems.
